Cool concept, slow game play

What is a really cool concept and well thought out game is also an in-app-purchase money pit if you want to get ahead in the game and because of this it makes game play very slow and mind numbing at times. I want to knee playing but Im not sinking $50 into a game just so I can get some cool airplanes and a more complex airport. I would rather pay $5 up front and have quicker game play.
